Pointing people towards heaven. The Current resident DJ of The Love Cause, DJ LOVE CAUSE / Dr. H. (PhD Communication), is an artist, writer, producer, DJ, and media critic.
Expected to pick up a musical instrument as a child, Dr. H’s first musical love is classical. The double-reed family and the oboe chose Dr. H.
Descending from a long line of military families, Dr. H aspired to be a nuclear physicist from age 3. A hard realization in 10th-grade chemistry changed those plans. With the pull of teenage rebellion, the border club culture, indoctrination from a terrible public school education system, in combination with various pre-retirement teachers’ and their mental check-outs, Dr. H’s career trajectory shifted from nuclear physicist to communication during her 10th-grade chemistry class. Later, several life-changing events (Road-to-Damascus experiences) after age 20 led Dr. H to realize a calling as a prayer warrior, communicator, and writer.
Dr. H considers prayer and a relationship with God the most important relationship and form of communication one must have to live a centered, quiet/contemplative/ascetic life outside of one’s vocation (1 Thessalonians 4:11) . Dr. H tries to follow Jesus and compose prayers for The Love Cause and the dance floor that help the body, soul, mind, and spirit.
